The Cottage
Welcome to No.7 Six Mile Bottom, a spacious two-bedroom holiday cottage in the heart of Cambridgeshire. Designed for comfort and convenience, the cottage is ideal for couples, families, friends, and guests visiting nearby historic Cambridge, Newmarket races, or the Six mile bottom shoot. With modern facilities, cozy touches, and dog-friendly features, this is a countryside retreat where you can truly relax.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The cottage comfortably sleeps four guests in two generously sized double bedrooms, both located upstairs. In addition a double sofa bed located in the sitting room can sleep 2 additional guests if required. Each room is furnished with a sizeable double bed, fresh linens, and plenty of space for a restful night’s sleep.
No.7 offers two convenient toilets — one upstairs and one downstairs — making it ideal for families or groups.
The upstairs bathroom features both a bath and a shower, giving you the choice between a quick refresh or a relaxing soak after a day exploring the countryside.
The downstairs toilet also includes a washer-dryer, perfect for guests staying a little longer or those who prefer to travel light.

The sitting room is the heart of the cottage, offering a comfortable space to unwind. You’ll find:

Gardens & Outdoor Space
Step outside and you’ll find both a front and rear garden. The rear garden is particularly well-suited for guests travelling with pets, as it features a sizable heavy-duty dog kennel.
For outdoor relaxation, the garden also includes:

A dedicated log store so you’ll always have plenty of wood for the stove and fire pit

The property has room for 2–3 cars:
2 driveway spaces in front of the cottage
1 additional space to the side, in front of the garden
This makes it easy for families or groups travelling with more than one vehicle.

No countryside stay is complete without a good pub meal. Fortunately, you’ll have options close by:
A traditional village pub is within walking distance, perfect for a casual drink or bite to eat.
Just a few minutes by car, you’ll find the renowned pub in Balsham, famous for its hearty meals and indulgent desserts — a real highlight for food lovers.
