Strict "No Pets in the House" Policy.

The interior of the cottage is a completely pet-free zone.** Under no circumstances are animals permitted inside the house.

The indoor spaces cannot cater to pets for several vital reasons:

Space Constraints: The cosy cottage layout is not sized to accommodate indoor pets.

Upstairs Flooring: The first floor features beautiful, delicate solid oak flooring easily scratched by claws.

Walls & Paintwork: Pets can scratch or leave muddy marks on walls. Foul odours can also absorb into plaster, requiring extensive specialist treatment to clear.

Hygiene & Allergens: Pet hair and microscopic skin flakes linger stubbornly in soft furnishings, which is unfair to subsequent guests with severe allergies.

Turnaround Times: Removing odours, washing walls, and repairing woodwork cannot be done during the tight changeover window, causing unnecessary damage. Evidence of Pets Indoors &

Penalty Charges

Property inspections are carried out immediately upon check-out.

Penalty Clause: Pets are strictly forbidden inside the cottage and must use the outdoor kennel. Bringing a pet inside the cottage will result in an immediate £250 specialised deep-cleaning and allergen-removal fee.

Breaches triggering this charge include:

Muddy paw prints or scuffs on walls, paintwork, floors, or rugs.

Pet hair found on duvets, pillows, or any upstairs bedding.

Scratch marks on walls, doors, or oak floorboards.

Lingering pet odours** inside rooms or absorbed into furnishings.

On-Site Kennel Facilities (The Outdoor Solution)

For those staying with animals, we offer excellent, dedicated outdoor facilities. You are welcome to bring pets, provided they use these facilities exclusively:

The Kennel: A large, secure on-site kennel comfortably accommodating up to four dogs, cats, or a combination**.

Daytime Freedom: A fully secure garden where animals can safely stretch their legs during the day.

Fresh Water: An outdoor tap located right by the kennels.

Nighttime Security: Kennels can be fully closed and locked at night for total peace of mind.

Guest Responsibilities & Garden Cleanliness

You must bring all supplies, including suitable bedding, food, bowls, and toys.

Garden Clean-Up Rule: Guests must clear up any dog mess from the garden before departing. All waste must be securely bagged and placed exclusively in the black wheelie bin. Do not leave waste on the grounds or in indoor bins.
